Solufeed ATS
|
|
A water soluble liquid sulphur (S) fertilizer with nitrogen (N) for application through drip irrigation systems. Derrived from a 60% solution of ammonium thiosulphate.
Uses _215x161.jpg)
To provide a concentrated source of readily available soluble
sulphur fertilizer. Also contains nitrogen.
Usually applied through drip lines with the irrigation water but
can be sprayed onto the bare soil before the crop is
established.
Not for application as a foliar spray. Not for application in
close proximity to the roots of young transplants or to seeds.
Benefits
- Sulphur is an essential secondary fertilizer nutrient that is
used in the plant primarily for the production of proteins. An
adequate N:S ratio in most plants is 15:1, but for cruciferous
plants like oilseed rape, market brassicas etc. it is as
low as 3:1. The need to pay attention to sulphur as a fertilizer
has increased in recent years because pollution controls have
reduced the levels of sulphur in the atmosphere.
- The sulphur in Solufeed ATS is soluble in water and rapidly
converts into the sulphate (SO4) form which is taken up
and used by plants.
- Application of sulphur to the soil has the effect of reducing
the soil pH. In high pH soils this can be beneficial by making
fertilizer nutrients more available to the plant.
- Solufeed ATS also contains significant amounts of nitrogen in
the ammoniacal (NH4) form.
