A range of modern, resin coated, controlled release fertilisers containing N, P, K, Mg and trace elements.

Mixed with the growing medium, these products release nutrients evenly to a pre-determined time scale, according to soil temperature. Release speed is not significantly affected by any other factor (rainfall, pH, soil bacteria etc) other than temperature. Release is faster at higher soil temperatures (when growth is fastest and demand for nutrient is highest).

Application rate is dependant on species - some species require more fertilisers than others, and the amount of base fertiliser already in the compost. Application rates are generally in the range 2 - 4 kg per cubic metre of growing media. Product can be blended into the compost by hand or during the mixing process of an automatic potting machine.

Once incorporated into the growing media, the release of nutrients is triggered and the media should be used for planting without delay.
