Speciality fertilizer producer gains ISO9001 Certification

A leading supplier of high quality speciality fertilisers to the commercial grower has been awarded ISO9001 certification. 

Sussex-based Solufeed has been awarded the quality management system standard by The International Standards Organisation. 

The company, which manufactures water soluble fertilizers, in powder and liquid form, and foliar fertilizers, has developed its own processes and procedures since its launch in 1998. 

These bespoke data management systems are unique to Solufeed storing information on more than 1500 established liquid and powder product formulations, allowing the team to efficiently and accurately create new products from a choice of more than 130 different raw materials. 

The system also ensures that customers can be provided with a quotation and supporting documentation for any product with a choice of more than 70 packaging options. It is also used to schedule production and manage raw material purchase. Other systems integrate with it to provide product safety data information and deliver grower recommendations. 

Solufeed's Data Manager was constructed to meet the company's particular requirements and is therefore unique to them.
